Course Overview:

The Intermediate Pistol Course is an intensive three-day handgun training designed specifically for police officers, military personnel, security professionals, and anyone required to handle a pistol as part of their daily duties.

This course is structured to develop robust, reliable handgun skills under realistic, operationally relevant conditions. Led by our highly experienced instructor, a former SAS/SBS operator, participants will build confidence and competence, enhancing both accuracy and operational effectiveness with a handgun.

Course Objectives:

• Develop Reliable Pistol Handling Skills – Learn consistent handgun techniques including drawing, aiming, shooting accurately from multiple positions, and reholstering safely under stress.

• Master Malfunction Clearing & Reloads – Rapidly and effectively address weapon malfunctions and reload efficiently to maintain combat effectiveness.

• Enhance Accuracy Under Stress – Develop the ability to shoot accurately under operationally realistic stress conditions, including dynamic movement and decision-making scenarios.

• Improve Tactical Movement & Use of Cover – Develop skills to move safely and effectively with a handgun, utilizing available cover and maintaining situational awareness.

• Integrate Skills in Practical Scenario-Based Drills – Apply skills learned through realistic scenario training, ensuring proficiency and confidence in high-pressure environments.

Key Topics Covered:

Day 1 – Pistol Fundamentals & Accuracy

• Review of fundamental handgun skills

• Drawing from the holster safely and efficiently

• Marksmanship techniques (stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control)

• Precision drills and accuracy under pressure

Day 2 – Dynamic Movement & Operational Drills

• Shooting from multiple positions (standing, kneeling, prone, improvised)

• Dynamic movement drills and effective use of cover

• Engaging multiple targets and threat prioritization

• Malfunction management and tactical reloads under stress

Day 3 – Realistic Tactical Scenarios

• Scenario-based tactical decision-making drills

• Stress inoculation through realistic, high-intensity drills

• Force-on-force training to validate learned skills under realistic conditions

• Final evaluation exercises and detailed instructor feedback

Who Should Attend:

This course is ideal for police officers, security personnel, military members, and other professionals required to carry and operate handguns proficiently and safely in their daily roles.

Course Specifications:

• Course Duration:
  24-hour intensive training, starting Thursday at 8:00 AM and concluding Saturday at 5:00 PM. Participants will receive a certificate of completion.

• Weapons System:
  Glock 17/19 or equivalent service handgun (participants can bring their own duty pistol if preferred).

• Skill Prerequisites:
  This is an intermediate-level course. Participants should already have basic familiarity with handgun safety, handling, and shooting fundamentals. Participants must adhere strictly to safety and conduct guidelines.

• Included:
  Airport transfers, accommodation and board, ammunition, and all required training equipment.

Ammo included, but participants must bring their own service handgun & semi-auto rifle (rentals available if needed). Force-on-force weapons provided for simulations
